Five pillars anchoring my practice
Holistic
You are not a diagnosis, a symptom or one chapter of your history. You are a whole person - with a body that carries memory, a nervous system shaped by experience, realtionships that have left their mark and a life that exists in rich complexity, well beyond confines of these sessions. This work honours all of you.
Integrative
No single modality holds the full truth of any person. Drawing on an extensive therapeutic toolbox, this work moves fluidly between frameworks and across protocols in service of what you actually need. My practice is agile and flexible, rather than being prescriptive.
Innovative
Good clinical work is not static. It draws on existing and emerging research, evolving understanding of the interconnectedness of mind and body, and respect for each unique human experience. My practice offer a genuine willingness to work in ways that fall outside the conventional therapeutic frame, when it is safe and when it serves best.
Dynamic
Sessions are responsive, rather than scripted. What you bring shapes what happens. The work moves with you, through the difficult terrain, the unexpected turns, the moments of insight and the ones that resist resolution. Nothing here is pre-determined. Anything is possible.

My Holistic approach to supporting my clients to explore their emotional world and address mental health concerns draws on my extensive training and background in a range of different therapies and my broad experience across the lifespan. From my earliest studies in nursing and mental health care, I felt aligned with humanistic and attachment theories and these frameworks continue to provide the foundation for my client engagement along with a strong grounding in neuroscience/neurobiology and a trauma informed lens.
My practice seeks to create a safe space for people to explore and make greater sense of their thoughts, feelings, experiences and relationships whilst developing a stronger and healthier sense of self. Increasing reflective capacity and realising one’s own capabilities and creativity are often goals within this work. What I am most passionate about is supporting clients to find their voice and move towards living as their most authentic self.
My holistic counselling style is gentle, intuitive and client-centred and thus pulls from my extensive therapeutic toolbox, allowing me to tailor sessions that are individualised to meet each client’s unique needs. I naturally take a conversational approach to my sessions however I can be analytical, focussed and respectfully direct where indicated. I am also open-minded, playful and completely non-judgmental. I wholeheartedly believe in creating strong connections with my clients and in sharing some of my own experiences and vulnerabilities in supporting others.
Somatic approaches are woven into my sessions with the aim of increasing nervous system adaptability, building resilience and cultivating greater connection, by integrating the unconscious material of the body with the conscious mind.
Providing education, facilitating investigations and supporting lifestyle changes and interventions around nutrition, gut health, hormonal health and sleep health is an integral component of my coaching when working with clients who experience issues in relation to mood, anxiety, neurodevelopmental diversity, and other cognitive or mental health concerns.
